Please read these Terms carefully before using Skinly AI. By using the app, you agree to them.
Agreement to terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the Skinly AI iOS application and related services (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is currently offered for iOS devices only. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable laws in your location.
The Service
Skinly provides general skincare education, habit tracking, and AI-assisted insights based on information and images you choose to share. Features may include face analysis, food and product scanning, personalised routine suggestions, progress tracking, and an AI chat assistant. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
Not medical or dermatological advice
The Service is for informational, educational, skincare, and wellness purposes only. Skinly AI is not a medical device and is not intended to be used as one. It does not provide medical or dermatological advice and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any skin condition or disease.
AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your circumstances. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions related to your skin, health, treatment, medication, allergies, or appearance. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something you read in the app.
AI limitations
Automated analysis and chat responses are probabilistic and may reflect biases or errors in training data. Results are not guaranteed to be correct, complete, or suitable for your circumstances. You use AI features at your own discretion.
Your account
You sign in using Apple. You are responsible for activity on your account, for the accuracy of information you provide, and for keeping your device and Apple ID secure. Notify us promptly at support@skinlyai.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
Your content
You retain ownership of photos and other content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service (including running analysis and storing results in your account). Do not submit content you do not have rights to use, or content that is illegal, harmful, or violates others' rights.
Subscription required
An active Skinly Pro subscription is required to access app features after onboarding. Without a valid subscription, core features (including AI analysis, scans, chat, and routines) are not available. Subscription status is verified through Apple and RevenueCat.
Subscriptions and billing
Skinly Pro is sold through Apple In-App Purchase as an auto-renewable subscription. Payment, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and plan changes are handled entirely by Apple under its terms and policies. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (weekly or yearly, depending on the plan you chose) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
To manage or cancel your subscription, use Settings → Manage subscription in the Skinly AI app, or go to your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — you keep access until then. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple; we cannot process App Store refunds.
If you subscribed on another device, open the subscription screen in the app and tap Restore purchases while signed in with the same Apple ID used to subscribe.
We use RevenueCat to validate subscription status; we do not receive or store your full payment card number.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Do not submit abusive, harassing, hateful, or otherwise harmful content.
- Do not upload content you do not have the rights to use, or content depicting others without their consent.
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to bypass paywalls, subscription checks, or security controls.
- Do not attempt to access other users' data or our systems.
- Do not disrupt the Service or overload our infrastructure.
- Do not rely on the Service for emergency or urgent medical situations.
Intellectual property
The Service, including software, design, branding, and content we provide (excluding your submissions), is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
We do not guarantee any particular skincare, cosmetic, or wellness outcome from using the Service. Your results may vary.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) GBP £50. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for legal, security, or operational reasons. Provisions that by nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) will survive.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in that jurisdiction shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country give you the right to bring claims elsewhere.
Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that policy.
